dokusan is a conversational database that runs on your hardware. We provide the software, onboarding, hosting (if applicable), and ongoing support as described in your tier. You provide your data and your questions.
Every engagement begins with a 30-day free trial and up to 20 hours of consulting onboarding. If you choose not to continue after the trial, you owe only for consulting hours used at $200/hr. No other fees, no penalties, no exit costs.
If you continue past the trial, you're billed monthly at your tier rate (Solo $2,000/mo, Team $7,000/mo, or Company $15,000/mo). You can cancel at any time. When you cancel, billing stops at the end of the current month.
Your data is yours. We don't own it, license it, train on it, or have access to it. If you cancel, your data stays on your hardware. If we host your hardware, we'll ship it back to you or securely wipe it — your choice.
dokusan software is licensed, not sold. Your subscription includes the right to run it on the hardware associated with your account. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or sublicense the software.
If we provide hardware as part of your tier, it remains our property unless otherwise agreed. If you bring your own hardware, it remains yours. If we host your hardware in our data center, we provide power, network, and physical security — you retain ownership and control.
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee specific uptime percentages. Hardware fails. Networks go down. If you need redundancy, we offer replication to a second machine ($85/mo) and remote hands insurance ($50/mo) for failover.
dokusan is a tool, not a decision-maker. We're not liable for business decisions made based on dokusan's responses. Our total liability is limited to the fees you've paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
We may update these terms. We'll email you before any material changes take effect. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
